Mamedyarov to play European Chess Club Cup for Turkish team

Azerbaijani grandmaster Shakhriyar Mamedyarov will compete in the European Chess Club Cup, which will be held from October 19 to 25 on the Greek island of Rhodes, Azerisport reported.

Mamedyarov will represent the Turkish club Beyegan Pendik. The tournament will bring together some of the strongest teams on the continent and is considered one of the key events of the autumn chess calendar.
