Thierry Henry praises Qarabag after Champions League win

Former French football star Thierry Henry praised Azerbaijan’s Qarabag after their 2-0 victory over Denmark’s Copenhagen in Baku in the Champions League group stage.

“Qarabag won again. Credit to them. They play very simply but incredibly effectively. Quick passes and regular wing attacks put opponents in a tough position. To stop them, you need a team of very high level. Football is a simple game, but playing simple is the hardest thing. Qarabag manage to do it,” Henry said.

Qarabag have now won both of their Champions League group matches, defeating Portugal’s Benfica 3-2 and Copenhagen 2-0.
