Sevilla crush Barcelona 4-1 in La Liga clash

Sevilla thrashed Barcelona 4-1 in the eighth round of Spain’s La Liga at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.

Alexis Sanchez opened the scoring with a penalty in the 13th minute, and Isaac Romero doubled the lead in the 37th. Marcus Rashford pulled one back for Barcelona before halftime.

Robert Lewandowski missed a penalty in the 74th minute, and Sevilla sealed the win with late goals from Jose Angel Carmona (90’) and Akor Adams (90+6’).

The result lifted Sevilla to sixth place in the standings, while Barcelona slipped to fourth, four points behind the leaders.
