NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenbergand Serbian President Aleksandar Vucicdiscussed the prospects for resuming military exercises between the alliance and Serbia, reported from Interfax.

"At breakfast and the meeting, we discussed the possibility of resuming joint military exercises. NATO and Serbia have previously conducted such exercises," Stoltenberg said.

He also expressed hope that NATO and Serbia would once again organize civil defense exercises. Stoltenberg added that he expects to further strengthen cooperation between the parties.

In turn, Vucic called Belgrade’s cooperation with NATO good.

"With regard to possible exercises, I will submit an application from the Serbian government to the command of the Armed Forces in order to consider the possibility of resuming joint exercises with NATO and other partners,” the Serbian President said.
