Suspended 40 meters above six kilometres of white sand and rolling waves, The Pole House gives the illusion of floating amongst the clouds as its visitors walk the path towards its front doors.
Located at Fairhaven Beach along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, the unique house is one of Australia's most photographed buildings, inspiring both guests and passers-by with its breath-taking views and unusual architecture.
But the perfect romantic getaway, which includes a suspended fireplace and queen-size bedroom that encompass the stunning views, comes at a hefty price, with a weekly rate of just over $3500 in off-peak season and almost $5000 a week in January.
Originally built by Frank Dixon in the 1970s, the building was redesigned in the last two years by Franco Fiorentini to feature floor-to-ceiling windows that take full advantage of the structures 360 degree views.
It also includes the latest in modern living technology, according to the holiday site's website, which stunning photographs by Tanja Milbourne and footage from SWARM UAV.
Unsurprisingly, the property has been almost entirely booked out for the first seven months of 2015, with limited availability during the following five months.
