Suarez returns to Liverpool, snapped at Melwood this morning

The Barcelona star, 29, was back at the Reds’ Melwood training ground this morning.

Suarez was snapped in a video posted online by his old team-mate Mamadou Sakho.

The Frenchman grins and says: "We have a special visit today at Melwood from… Luis Suarez.”

The Uruguayan beams and gives the camera the big thumbs up.

Suarez spent the morning at Melwood and was seen laughing and joking with his old team-mates.

He also spent time watching Jurgen Klopp’s side train.

The Anfield hero was joined by son Benji and daughter Delfina and spent time in the team canteen.

Suarez scored his 26th La Liga goal this season at the weekend and has been given a few days off by Barcelona.

A source told the Liverpool Echo said: "Luis is on holiday from Barcelona, and so has come to spend time with his old friends.

"Obviously we have relaxed the visitor regulations for him!

"He's just chilling out in the canteen with his little girl and boy, and will watch training.”

Suarez scored 82 goals in 133 games for Liverpool before leaving for Barcelona in 2014.

He last month admitted he'd be keen to return to the club.

Suarez said: "If I had to return to the Premier League, I would only go to Liverpool. I wouldn’t go to another team.

"It wouldn’t be a move for money. I’d also love to play again for Ajax as they allowed me to develop as a player in Europe."Liverpool posted pictures of Suarez on their official website this morning and wrote: "There was a familiar face back at Melwood on Tuesday morning as Luis Suarez popped in to Liverpool’s training facility to see some old friends.

"The Barcelona striker took advantage of a brief holiday from his current club to come back to Merseyside and catch up with some of his former teammates.

"Suarez brought his two young children with him as he chatted with the likes of Mamadou Sakho.

"The Uruguayan will be back in action for Barcelona on Saturday when they face Getafe at the Nou Camp."
