Sweden allocates $1.4M to support Ukrainian media

The Swedish government has allocated 15 million kroner ($1.4 million) to support Suspilne, the Ukrainian public TV, on the sidelines of the international donor conference of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) on December 12, reported from TASS.

The allocated funds are designed for three years and, among other things, can be used "to create convenient platforms for digital news and strengthen the journalistic potential of Ukraine.”

The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency SIDA and Sveriges Radio public radio company have been supporting Suspilne since 2017.
