In a letter released to the media, Kristersson thanked Orban for the invitation to Hungary.
"I hope to discuss all issues with you in Budapest in more detail at a time convenient for both of us,” reads Kristersson’s letter.
The Swedish prime minister added that he agrees with his Hungarian colleague that a more active political dialogue is needed between Stockholm and Budapest, including on the issue of "completion of the process of ratification of Sweden’s membership in NATO in the Hungarian parliament.”
The document does not indicate a possible date for the meeting.
Kristersson added that, in addition to Budapest, they will have the opportunity to meet at the European Council meeting in Brussels on February 1.
On January 23, Orban sent an invitation to Kristersson to visit Hungary to negotiate Sweden’s accession to NATO.
