Tbilisi interested in becoming platform for Yerevan-Baku talks
Tbilisi is interested in becoming a platform for negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the candidate for the post of head of the Georgian Foreign Ministry Ilia Darchiashvili said in the country’s parliament.
He noted that the Georgian authorities have taken important steps to promote peace and stability in the region.
"We want Tbilisi in the future to become a platform for discussing any topical issues in order to support the creation of trust between our neighbors. As part of the government program "For the construction of a European state,” Georgia will make every effort to promote peace, cooperation and stability in the South Caucasus.
To achieve this goal, the government intends to maintain the current high dynamics and strengthen bilateral strategic relations with Türkiye, as well as with Azerbaijan and Armenia,” Darchiashvili emphasized.
