In the recent days, the temperature in the country is higher than the climate norms. He said that on August 18, the temperature was 38° C in Baku and Absheron peninsula, 39° C in Sumgayit and 39,5° C in Mashtagha. The temperature was 39° C in central lowland regions and about 40° C in some parts of the Nakhchivan AR. The highest temperature in the country was recorded at about 12:00-15:00. Verdiyev said that today the temperature in Baku and Absheron peninsula is slightly above normal. Such hot weather in the country will continue till tomorrow.
