A telephone conversation took place between the presidents of Kazakhstan and Türkiye, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, reported from Kazakh media.

The Turkish president expressed deep condolences to Tokayev and the fraternal people of Kazakhstan in connection with the death of people as a result of large fires in the Abay region.

During the conversation, the leaders of Kazakhstan and Türkiye also discussed issues of bilateral cooperation.

As many as 14 people died as a result of the natural disaster in Kazakhstan. In this regard, nationwide mourning has been declared in the country.
