The Ivorian powerhouse had spent much of Tuesday in the spotlight following his agent Dimitry Seluk’s announcement that Toure was “unhappy” at Manchester City after the club “showed a lack of respect” in celebrating the player’s birthday."He got a cake but when it was Roberto Carlos's birthday, the president of Anzhi gave him a Bugatti," Seluk said. "I don't expect City to present Yaya with a Bugatti, we only asked that they shook his hand and said 'we congratulate you'. It is the minimum they must do when it is his birthday and the squad is all together."Of course Yaya is upset about this. If this happened to you as a journalist in the BBC and nobody shakes your hand, you will say bye-bye and go to work for somebody else. It is normal."The 31-year-old initially appeared to put to bed any possible rumours of a fall out with the City hierarchy and a possible move when he took to Twitter. He said: “Jokes aside. Please do not take words that do not come out of MY mouth seriously. Judge my commitment to @MCFC by my performances.”But, in an astonishing turn of events, Toure then deleted the aforementioned tweet and appeared to reinforce everything his agent had said, as well as opening the door for a possible return to former club Barcelona, in a TV interview.“Everything Dimitry said is true. He speaks for me. I will give an interview after World Cup to explain. Yes, I have talked before about ending my career at Barcelona — but we don’t know because football is moving fast and you never know about tomorrow.“My agent, Dimitry, is always on the phone and he knows what he has to do because I trust him a lot. The main thing now is just to try and focus on the World Cup and he knows what he has to do because we were always open about everything and I am able to talk with him for a couple of days now.“Because of the brilliant season Manchester City have had, everybody is talking about me and everything is open and we don’t know tomorrow.”EUROSPORT’S VIEWThis really is quite astonishing. Laughable, in fact. To think that a 6’ 5”, marauding titan of a man would get so upset because he didn’t get the birthday party he wanted really is shocking. Agents can often look to cause a rift between club and player in order to force a move elsewhere, and this certainly seemed to be the case when Toure first took to Twitter to rubbish the rumours. But, after defending Seluk, it now appears that the Ivorian really does have a problem with City. Whether he really is as sensitive as he and his agent are making out remains to be seen, but something is awry at City and we’re sure to find out soon enough.WHAT HAPPENS NEXTIt could be a case of “you’ve made your bed, now lie in it” for Toure. But, that could be exactly what he wants. The 31-year-old isn’t painting himself in the best of lights and this situation is going to come to a head in the near future – probably right after the World Cup. It seems that Toure has a problem at City, though it could just be that he fancies a move back to Barca and needed an excuse in order to try and engineer a move. But throwing your dummy out of the pram over a lack of a ‘31 today’ birthday badge and a goody bag is a bit of a silly way of going about it.(uk.eurosport.yahoo.com)
