Premiere - it's always something exciting and challenging. It's a manifestation of courage and risk that may result in either a triumph or a sad fiasco. But the famous intermezzo "The Servant Mistress" (La serva pardona) by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, composed in 1733 and subsequently named the first comic opera in the history of musical art, was definitely a success when it was directed by Inara Babayeva, a talented opera singer and honored artist of Azerbaijan.

The question of a successful marriage does not lose its importance, neither in 300 years ago in Italy, nor in today's Azerbaijani society. Therefore, comic representation of the entire process in the musical version was very warmly received by the audience, which included both Baku residents and guests gathered at the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

The event also did not go unnoticed by cultural figures of our country, namely the President of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan, People's Artist Farhad Khalilov, his wife, the poet Tamilly Akhundova etc. This evening the party of Serpina (maid) she sang play-director Inara Babayeva (soprano), the party of Dr. Uberto - Anton Fershtandt (baritone), and in the role of servant Vespone performed Farid Ibragimov (mime role), Conductor - People's Artist of Azerbaijan, professor Javanshir Jafarov and art director - honored Worker of Culture Yusif Babaev. The end of a premiere was greeted with a standing ovation and shouts of "Bravo", which continued even after the closing of curtain. The premiere of the opera "The Servant Mistress" with its amazingly beautiful music, costumes and decorations, became a bright event, both in the creative activity of the theater, and in the cultural life of our city.
