Turkish envoy, Russian diplomat mull situation in Caucasus region

Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin has met with Turkish Ambassador to Russia Mehmet Samsar in Moscow.

The situation in the Caucasus region was discussed, including the implementation of trilateral agreements between the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia on the ways of normalization between Baku and Yerevan with Russian assistance.

The theme of the prospects for restoring Armenian-Turkish ties was also touched upon. The importance of interaction in the South Caucasus within the Consultative Regional Platform ‘3+3’ was emphasized.

An exchange of views took place on a number of other topics of mutual interest.
