Turkish MoD prohibits use of smartphones in area of anti-terrorist operations
The Ministry of National Defense of Türkiye has banned the use of smartphones by military personnel in the regions where anti-terrorist operations are conducted, the spokesman of the ministry, Zeki Akturk, said at the weekly briefing.
He said that a corresponding order was issued in this regard: "The use of smartphones and camera phones is prohibited in the operational areas. Also, personnel were trained on the negative effects of using these types of devices. Heavy punishments are provided for military personnel who violate this rule."
