Two Azerbaijani nationals fighting against the Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria have been killed, according to APA news service.

They were identified as Namiq Asgarov and Soltan (aka Azeri Seyfullah). Both were members of the Jabhat al-Nusra (AL-Nusra Front) rebel group.

Jihadist websites have published pictures of the dead.

Hundreds of Azerbaijanis are fighting in Syria, APA said. Dozens have been killed.
