The Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline, or TANAP, could be used to import natural gas to the country, Ukraine's state-controlled Ukrtransgaz said in a statement.
The pipeline capacity could be doubled, Ukrtransgaz said.
TANAP is designed to export gas from the BP-led Shah Deniz field in Azerbaijan's section of the Caspian Sea to Europe via Turkey. Azerbaijan's state energy company SOCAR holds 58 percent of the project.
Partners also include Botas with 30 percent and BP with 12 percent.
