In the past day, Russia launched a drone attack on Ukraine, using Iranian-made Shahed attack UAVs, and Ukrainian defenders destroyed 18 out of 24 drones, reported from General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on conducting offensive action in the Lyman, Bakhmut, and Marinka sectors. There, in the past day, units of the defense forces repelled about 60 attacks. The fiercest battles are being fought for Bakhmut and Marinka," the General Staff said.

Russian forces also carried out 75 airstrikes and 65 MLRS attacks against the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Civilian casualties were recorded, and private residential buildings, educational institutions, kindergartens and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
