Uzbek, Kyrgyz presidents congratulate Tokayev on his victory in elections

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held telephone conversations reported from the Uzbek media.

Mirziyoyev congratulated Tokayev on his victory in the early presidential elections. The head of Kazakhstan, in turn, stressed that relations between the two states are developing very dynamically and fully correspond to the level of strategic partnership.

The presidents discussed the current state and prospects for the development of the Kazakh-Uzbek strategic partnership and alliance. The schedule of upcoming meetings was also considered.

In addition, Tokayev had a telephone conversation with President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Zhaparov, who congratulated the Kazakh leader on his convincing victory in the elections.

According to the preliminary results of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the incumbent president won 81.31% of the vote.
