Vietnam and Azerbaijan have signed an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion, the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance said on May 19.

The agreement was signed at the Vietnam Presidential Palace by Vietnam's Finance Minister Dinh Tien Dung and the Azerbaijani Tax Minister Fazil Mammadov.

The double tax treaty aims to help promote cooperation in trade and investment, as well as providing a clear and stable regulatory environment in taxation for investors. The agreement marks a new development in economic, diplomatic and political relations between both countries, the finance ministry said.
