The volume of frozen assets of individuals and companies from Russia included in the EU sanctions lists is now about 24.1 billion euros, European Commission Spokesperson Christian Wigand said at a briefing in Brussels.

"To date, we have frozen 24.1 billion euros’ worth of assets of sanctioned individuals and companies in the EU,” he said and underlined that the assets of sanctioned individuals and organizations are subject to freezing, "but not direct confiscation."
