Washington shooting leaves 1 person dead, 5 others injured

There is a Metropolitan Police Department presence on the scene of the shooting at 14th St. and Columbia Road in Northwest with DC Fire and EMS with DC Fire and EMS saying there are multiple victims, local WJLA-TV reported, Trend reports citing Sputnik.

"Six individuals in the 1300 block of Columbia Road sustained gunshot wounds. One of those individuals has been pronounced deceased. The other five remaining individuals have been transported to the area hospitals with various gunshot wounds, ranging from non-critical to critical", local police commander Stuart Emerman said at a press briefing.

Several media previously reported citing the police that at least six people have been wounded in the incident.

​There has been no information yet on the gunner. Police said that the homicide unit has been called at the scene, according to Fox 5.
