This is the extraordinary performer who can push nine inch nails through sheet metal using his skull. John Ferraro doesn't just hammer nails - he can also withstand a bowling ball being smashed over a slab of concrete on his head. And as if that wasn't enough, Mr Ferraro allows people to jackhammer breeze blocks balanced on his head.Mr Ferraro, from Boston, USA, first discovered his talent as a boy - when he head butted his way through a solid oak door while chasing his brother. He said: 'As a young boy, while chasing my brother during an argument, he shut a door behind him to avoid me, I ran headfirst through a heavy oak door cracking it and actually dislodging the hinge screws from in brackets and the frame. 'As grew older I incorporated old strongman body toughening techniques that I learned through studying old books and articles, I do a lot of unique exercises and training techniques.'Preparation, training and dedication to the goal in front of me enables me to have full confidence in my abilities. When it's time to perform a stunt, its balls to wall. It's time to get in the rage zone.'I live by this motto - It's mind over Matter - when your out of your mind, it just don't matter.'Pain isn't a factor anymore, mental strength and heart is what is on display, plus if I have bleed for my art, then I bleed. Something has to give, you have to believe in yourself.'You are stronger then what put in front of you. You have to believe you are stronger and the object will be bent, broken or smashed.'Medically, the entertainer's skull is almost two and a half times thicker then the average human, measuring 16mm in thickness compared to an average of 6.5 mm.Mr Ferraro underwent an MRI scan performed at the Harvard Medical School in Boston by top neurologists and brain trauma specialists. It revealed he does not suffer from Acromegaly or any other bone thickening diseases, making Mr Ferraro believe it is a genetic gift.Through extensive x-rays, experts also discovered the entertainer's brain is in perfect condition considering the incredible impacts his skull receives almost daily. He added: 'I have never suffered a concussion or an injury from the blunt force trauma. The doctors are amazed I remain unfazed or unharmed by my performances.'I currently have two Guinness World Records. One record is having cement blocks broken by 16lb bowling balls dropped from 10 feet above my head and another for driving five inch nails through wooden planks with a head butt.'I draw a lot of my inspiration from the vaudevillian and circus strongmen of the past, not to mention some current crop of men who have dedicated themselves to the art of performing feats of strength like spike bending, chain breaking and phone ripping.'My latest stunts include, bending spikes and coins against my forehead and shattering a Louisville Slugger baseball bat in half with just a headbutt.'(dailymail.co.uk)ANN.Az
