Here’s an example of why it pays to think big in love. These ‘wotties’ are the result of a liaison between Joey, a small but ambitious West Highland terrier, and Zara, a rottweiler twice his size.Zara gave birth to a litter of 11 not long after Joey moved into her owner Teresa Patterson’s North Yorkshire home. Ms Patterson, 50, said: ‘Zara didn’t know what to do. I screamed when the puppies started popping out.‘She delivered them and then Joey did everything else. Zara wasn’t interested but Joey would clean them up and not let anyone else near them.’Four of the puppies did not survive but homes have been found for the remaining seven, who were born in July. The Kennel Club said it was the first time it had come across a wottie.(metro.co.uk)
