White House: US refusal to help Kyiv will weaken Ukraine in negotiations with Russia

Russia will enter the negotiation process with a more advantageous position if the White House stops helping Kyiv, said Jake Sullivan, assistant to the current head of the United States Joe Biden for national security, reported from Pravda.

Sullivan highlighted that the United States should not deviate from its promises.

He noted that Ukraine's positions need to be strengthened before potential peace talks. Jake Sullivan clarified: the current and future administrations of the United States should demonstrate their readiness to provide assistance to Kyiv.

"This will be a lever to achieve a good result at the negotiating table. If we just say that we are going to conclude a deal without this detail, then Ukraine will not be put in the best position in the negotiations," said Joe Biden's aide.

As previously reported, Russia is ready for negotiations on Ukraine based on the Istanbul agreements. Volodymyr Zelenskyy agrees to peace if the territories are returned to him.
