The WHO Regional Director for Europe, Hans Kluge, has stated that he expects Azerbaijan to play an active role in shaping the work of the Pan-European Commission on Health and Climate, which will be established in Iceland.

"It’s truly inspiring that health remains so high on the political agenda of Azerbaijan! I thanked Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov for this commitment and for Azerbaijan’s support to health-focused climate initiatives during the COP29. I am confident that this landmark event will serve as a catalyst for advancing the green transition in Azerbaijan. I also briefed Minister Bayramov about the Pan European Commission on Health and Climate to be launched in 2025 in Iceland and expressed my enthusiasm for Azerbaijan’s active role in shaping its work," Kluge wrote on X.
