NATO: Russia no longer partner, but security threat
20.06.2022 10:00
In its new strategy, which the North Atlantic alliance intends to adopt at the end of June at a summit in Madrid, Russia will be regarded as a threat, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said in an interview with the German tabloid Bild am Sonntag.

"We will declare that Russia is no longer a partner, but a threat to our security, peace and stability,” Stoltenberg noted.

He said that China will be mentioned in the alliance’s strategy for the first time.

"That’s because the rise of China is a challenge to our interests, our values and our security,” he said.

The NATO summit is scheduled for June 29-30.
