Russian Investigative Committee charges in absentia 68 foreigners who fought Russia on Ukraine's behalf

The Russian Investigative Committee indicted almost 70 more foreign nationals fighting against Russia in Ukraine in absentia, reported from Interfax.

In total, the committee is investigating cases against almost 600 citizens of other countries taking part in fighting on the side of Ukraine.

"The investigation received additional materials, on the basis of which another 68 foreigners from seven countries were charged in absentia,” the Russian Investigative Committee said.

Altogether, according to the committee, criminal cases are currently being investigated against 591 foreign citizens from 46 countries, most of them are citizens of the US, Canada, Georgia, Israel, the UK, Germany, Lithuania and Latvia.
