EU working on new military aid package for Ukraine

European officials are working to agree on a new large military aid package for Ukraine.
Reported from Bloomberg that the EU may announce a new package of military aid to the Kyiv authorities after the parliamentary elections in Germany, which will be held on February 23.
An emergency EU summit on Ukraine will be held in Paris on February 17, attended by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission head Ursula von der Leyen, among others. The EU said the purpose of the meeting was to launch consultations between European leaders on the situation in Ukraine and security issues in Europe.
Earlier, the Financial Times quoted sources as saying that Europe feared that US President Donald Trump would not invite the EU to talks on Ukraine, but would force it to pay for its reconstruction and send peacekeepers.
