UK may discuss with allies possibility of Russia rejoining G7

London does not rule out the possibility of Moscow's return to the G7, which as a result may again become the G8, Security Minister Dan Jarvis told the Times Radio station, reported from TASS.
"This is a matter to be discussed with international allies," he said when asked whether the G7 members should admit Russia back into the association of economically developed countries. "That is a matter that no doubt will be considered at the point at which the conflict in Ukraine has been concluded," the official added.
According to Jarvis, the UK prime minister "will be discussing a range of matters relating to Russia and Ukraine" during his meeting with US President Donald Trump, which is scheduled to take place on February 27. According to The Times, Starmer, like Macron, will insist on Ukraine's participation in talks to settle the ongoing conflict with Russia.
