All public events in Rome canceled due to death of Pope Francis

All public events scheduled for April 21 and 22 in Rome have been canceled following the death of Pope Francis, TASS informs.
City authorities noted that events dedicated to the anniversary of the founding of Rome, traditionally celebrated on April 21, were also canceled. Rome was set to mark the 2,778th anniversary of its founding. Typically, the capital hosts various ceremonies and historical parades to commemorate the date.
As a sign of mourning, flags were flown at half-mast on the Chigi Palace, the official residence of the Italian government.
