Trump to reduce tariffs on Chinese goods

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that tariffs on goods imported from China will be reduced, although the rates will not be brought down to zero.

Answering journalists’ questions at the White House, Trump said: “The current tariff rate on Chinese goods is 145%. It won’t be that high. Of course, they will not be that high. The tariffs will be significantly lowered, but they won’t be zero.”
