Magnitude 4.5 earthquake hits western Türkiye

A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck the western Turkish city of Kutahya early Friday, Türkiye’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) reported.

The tremor occurred at 07:23 local time (08:23 Baku time) in the Simav district, with the epicenter located at a depth of 8.81 kilometers.

No casualties or damage have been reported so far, according to authorities.
