The U.S. Embassy in Armenia has called on undocumented migrants currently in the United States to voluntarily leave the country before being detained by federal authorities.

The message was published on the embassy’s official social media pages.

“If you know individuals residing illegally in the United States, advise them to leave the country before they are discovered by government agencies,” the statement read.

“The message is clear: make the right choice, obey the law, and don’t put your safety, your family, or your future at risk,” the embassy added.
