U.S. to pay undocumented migrants $1,000 for voluntary departure – DHS

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has launched a new “voluntary departure” program offering undocumented migrants $1,000 if they agree to leave the country on their own.
To participate, individuals must apply through the CBP One mobile app and confirm their departure upon arrival in their home country. Payments will be issued afterward.
Officials say the initiative aims to ease immigration pressures and clarify that participation will not disqualify migrants from applying for legal entry to the U.S. in the future.
