Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Russia has suffered over 63,000 killed and wounded soldiers in the Kursk region since the start of a Ukrainian operation there in August.

Writing on social media, Zelenskiy said the losses were significant and noted that Ukrainian forces had also managed to significantly boost the country's prisoner exchange fund.

He added that the most intense fighting is currently taking place in the Donetsk region, particularly in the direction of Pokrovsk.
