Two Israeli embassy staff shot dead outside Jewish Museum in Washington

Two staff members of the Israeli embassy were shot and killed outside the Jewish Museum in Washington, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said on social media platform X.
The incident occurred overnight, and an investigation is underway, she wrote, adding that authorities are working to gather more details and hold the perpetrator accountable.
Earlier, ABC News reported that one of the victims was an Israeli embassy employee.
Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, condemned the attack on X, calling it “a despicable act of anti-Semitic terrorism.”
