Russia hits maternity hospital and residential buildings in Odesa

At least one person was killed and four others injured in a Russian drone strike on the southern Ukrainian city of Odesa, local authorities said on Tuesday. The attack targeted residential buildings and a city maternity hospital.
“Residential buildings in central Odesa were damaged or destroyed. A 59-year-old man died, and four others were wounded,” regional governor Oleh Kiper said on Telegram.
Kiper also reported that an administrative building of the emergency medical station was completely destroyed, and ambulances parked nearby were damaged. A fire broke out, though no medical staff were injured.
Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov said the administrative building of a local maternity hospital was also hit. “The destruction is significant. Damage assessment will be carried out in the morning,” he added.
Kiper said law enforcement agencies are documenting what he called another war crime against civilians.
