Austrian school shooter, 21, had Armenian heritage — reports

Austrian police have identified the gunman who carried out a deadly school shooting in Graz on June 10 as 21-year-old Arthur A., Kronen Zeitung reported.
According to the outlet, the shooter had Armenian roots on his father’s side. Prior to the attack, he recorded a video message for his mother, apologizing for his actions and thanking her for her care. She viewed the message 24 minutes after it was sent.
In a farewell letter, Arthur spoke of being bullied by classmates and blamed the school administration for inaction. He also expressed concern for his cat, asking relatives to look after it.
The shooting left 10 people dead and 28 injured, including students and one adult. The gunman took his own life in a school restroom. Austria has declared three days of national mourning.
