Sargsyan ally vows protests to overthrow Armenian PM Pashinyan

David Ambartsumyan, nominated as a candidate for prime minister by the pro-Russian opposition bloc “I Have Honor,” said he plans to launch street protests aimed at removing Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan from office.
Ambartsumyan expressed disappointment that only six lawmakers had signed a motion of no confidence. He pointed out the absence of signatures from the "Armenia" alliance and urged broader opposition support.
“We will go all the way. We have calculations, and soon we will bring people to the streets,” he said, adding that his team was working daily with the public to mobilize support.
Former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan recently endorsed Ambartsumyan’s candidacy and said he would not rule out street resistance or even civil war to oust Pashinyan.
