Satellite images released on Friday appear to show damage to Iran’s Natanz uranium enrichment facility following Israeli airstrikes overnight, according to Western intelligence sources and Iranian media.

The strike, which occurred early Friday morning, targeted what Israel views as Iran’s primary uranium enrichment site in the Isfahan province. Israeli media, citing intelligence officials, reported that the facility was "severely damaged" or "destroyed." Iran has not confirmed the extent of the damage.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said Iran confirmed the strike but reported no radioactive or chemical leaks. “Preliminary assessments indicate some parts of the facility were damaged. No radioactive or chemical contamination or leakage has been detected,” Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization said in a statement aired on state television.

The organization also said there were no reports of casualties among workers at the site.

The IAEA added that other nuclear facilities — including Fordow, Isfahan, and the Bushehr nuclear power plant — were not affected. Radiation levels in Natanz remained within safe limits, the agency said, and it continues to closely monitor the situation.
