Iran has extended the closure of its airspace until 14:30 Baku time (14:00 Tehran time) on Tuesday, the country’s Civil Aviation Organization said.

Mehdi Ramezani, a spokesperson for the agency, confirmed the temporary measure in comments reported by Iranian broadcaster SNN.

The restriction comes amid heightened military activity in the region.
