MrBeast tops Forbes list of highest-paid and most influential social media stars

YouTube creator MrBeast has been named the world’s top-earning and most influential social media star for the fourth consecutive year, Forbes said in its annual ranking released on Tuesday.
MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, earned an estimated $85 million over the past year and now boasts 634 million followers across platforms.
He was followed by entrepreneur and filmmaker Dhar Mann, with $56 million in earnings and 137 million followers. Professional boxer and influencer Jake Paul ranked third with $50 million and 79 million followers, boosted by the hype surrounding his upcoming fight with Mike Tyson in November.
The list also featured newcomers from TikTok, including Alix Earle, Jake Shane, and Xandra, as well as podcast host Alex Cooper (Call Her Daddy), YouTuber Ms. Rachel, singer Addison Rae, and comedians Druski and Adam W. Other notable entrants included financial expert Erika Kullberg and fashion influencer Wisdom Kaye.
Altogether, the 50 creators on the 2025 Forbes list earned nearly $853 million – an 18.5% increase from 2024 – and have a combined following of over 3.37 billion, up 25% year-on-year.
Forbes said its ranking was based on three main criteria: income, entrepreneurial ventures, and influence measured through audience size and engagement.
