Ukrainian drone strike hits Russian factory, kills one in Lipetsk region – officials

Ukrainian drones targeted Russia’s Lipetsk region overnight, killing one woman and injuring two others, the regional governor said on Wednesday.
Governor Igor Artamonov reported that drone debris fell on a private residence in the Lipetsk district, causing the death of a local woman and wounding two others.
In the city of Yelets, a drone hit a parking area near an industrial site, triggering a fire. The blaze was contained and nearby workshops were evacuated. No injuries were reported. The governor did not identify the facility.
Ukrainian Telegram channel Exilenova+ claimed the target was PJSC “Energia,” Russia’s largest battery manufacturing plant. Russian outlet Astra, citing local residents, also reported a strike on the facility.
Separately, another drone hit an under-construction apartment block in Yelets, damaging windows. Nearby residents were evacuated, and no casualties were reported.
