France warns Russia may attack Europe before 2030

France has warned of a potential large-scale conflict in Europe involving Russia within the next three to five years, according to its 2025 Strategic National Review.
The document, published by the General Secretariat for Defence and National Security (SGDSN), states that France and its European allies could be drawn into high-intensity warfare outside national territory by 2030.
The review highlights the risk of Russian aggression in Moldova, the Balkans, or even against NATO states. It also warns of potential large-scale hybrid attacks on French territory.
