Heavy rain floods Moscow streets, disrupts transport

Torrential rain and thunderstorms caused severe flooding across parts of Moscow on Monday, submerging streets, courtyards, and vehicles in northern districts of the capital, city officials reported.
Dmitrovskoye Highway and Dubninskaya Street were among the most affected, with cars struggling to move through water. In Dmitrovsky Park residential complex, an underground parking lot was flooded. Water at Patriarch's Ponds rose to knee level, forcing pedestrians to wade across.
Metro services were also impacted, with access to Bibirevo station temporarily restricted. Emergency crews are operating at full capacity. Authorities urged residents to avoid sheltering under trees during storms and to expect public transport delays.
