U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that Washington is making significant progress in trade negotiations with the European Union and has reached a broad trade agreement with Indonesia.

“We’re in talks with the EU and making real progress. The deal is essentially done,” Trump told reporters, referring to a notification sent to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen about planned tariffs on EU goods as part of what he called a “deal with the EU.”

Trump also announced that Indonesia has granted the U.S. full access to all sectors of its market, with no tariffs except a fixed 19% duty on Indonesian goods entering the U.S.

Under the agreement, Indonesia will purchase $15 billion worth of U.S. energy, $4.5 billion in agricultural products, and 50 Boeing aircraft, Trump said.
