Magnitude 5.6 earthquake strikes southeastern Iran

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 struck southeastern Iran early Tuesday morning, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.
The tremor occurred at 05:06 UTC, about 125 km southeast of the city of Bam, which has a population of around 99,000. The quake’s depth was 10 km.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
