Kyiv ready for talks with Putin in any format

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio held talks with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha and European diplomats to discuss efforts to end the war in Ukraine, the State Department said on Tuesday.

Sybiha wrote on X that Ukraine is ready for “meetings at the leaders’ level in any format and geographical region” but stressed that security guarantees must be “specific, legally binding and effective.”

“We are ready to stop the killing and give diplomacy a chance,” he said.

Foreign ministers from Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, the United Kingdom and EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas also joined the meeting.
