US imports from Russia doubled under Trump

Russian imports to the United States have more than doubled in Donald Trump’s first year in office compared with Joe Biden’s final year, Bild journalist Julian Ropcke wrote on social media X.
Ropcke said that while the Trump administration accuses Europe of excessive trade with Russia, US imports from Moscow rose to $2.85 billion between January and July this year, compared with $3 billion for all of last year.
He argued the accusations were “just another excuse for not confronting President Vladimir Putin.”
